Considered the third largest city of Peru, Trujillo is a lovely colonial town. Bright colors of mustard, green, orange, and pink cover the buildings. The Plaza de Armas, probably the fifth or sixth that we've seen thus far, was small but beautifully preserved. On the second day, we booked a day tour and visited the archeological sites of Huaca de Luna, Huaca de Sol and Chan Chan. The tour group left us in Huanchaco, a beach town outside of Trujillo. There we spent two days enjoying the fresh seafood cuisine and dined in one of the best restaurants of our trip, Big Ben. We ate conchas a la parmesana, tiradito and four types of causa. Delicious!
